Cantonese Steamed Spotted Garoupa | China

\ Ingredients


1. Spotted Garoupa 1 (600g)

2. Ginger 2

3. Spring onion 2

4. Light soy sauce 2 tbsp

5. Chinese rice wine 1 tbsp

6. Salt 1/2 tsp




\ Recipe


1. Clean and gut the spotted garoupa, drain on kitchen towels and place on a plate.

2. Use knife to make 3 parallel cuts on both sides of the garoupa in order to let the marinade in, rub the surface with salt and rice wine, marinate for 10 minutes.

3. Shred ginger, mince spring onion and spread evenly over the surface and inside the garoupa.

4. Steam the for 8 minutes, turn off the heat, keeping the lid on for 5 minutes.

5. Arrange the garoupa on your plate, pour over the light soy sauce.
